Browsing this website you can learn about a variety of services and operations the Center offers, as well as of the peculiarities of the functioning of the Public Collection of Patent Documentation (PCPD). PCPD is the most comprehensive and advanced collection of patent documentation available for the public in Ukraine. Actually PCPD is functioning as the national patent library. PCPD is updated regularly; the latest information search and patent research tools and techniques are widely applied in it. On our website you may also find out about a number of informational products on CD-ROM, subject collections of patent documents on different branches of industry.

You can address yourself to the Center’s resources in order to:

-         carry out information search (by name, by subject, by company) and patent research through patent document collections of 58 countries and 3 international organizations,

-         draft patent, trademark or other IPR applications for filing in Ukraine or abroad,

-          accomplish marketing surveys of the industrial property market,

-         receive competent advice and consultations on the IPR protection management and exploitation matters,

-         determine whether infringements of registered IPRs occur.

The Center carries out scientific, methodical and organizational support for all-Ukrainian competitions of inventive activities. “Invention of the Year” contest and WIPO Award Competition for small and medium-sized innovative enterprises have won the recognition of both scientific and research institutions as well as of industry and business sector, mostly in Ukrainian regions. Also well-liked are the seminars organized quarterly by the Center for national IPR protection system users. During such seminars special emphasis is put on the practical aspects of exercising and enforcement of the legal rights for inventions, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs etc.

The Internet-based Industrial Property Exchange (IIPE) has by now been functioning on the Center website for six years. The primary goals of the IIPE are to promote the market of promising inventions protected by Ukrainian patents, to search for would-be investors and place the orders of industrial sector of economy for new technical solutions. The inventions that have relevant information published on the IIPE pages provide the interested persons with a reliable chance to renovate manufacturing processes, find vacant market niches out etc. The IIPE content is accessible twenty-four hours in three languages (Ukrainian, English and Russian).

Particular consideration is given to creative youth. Recently a new Internet resource has been launched for them, namely “Concepts Manufacture” website http://www.fabrikaidei.kiev.ua . Its main purpose is to identify, support and inspire talented secondary and high school students, young scientists, inventors and researchers. “Concepts Manufacture” offers an opportunity to discuss an idea, project and research work with coevals, as well as to find a lot of helpful information, interesting news and creative solutions.

Next spring the Center will celebrate its eighth anniversary. A very simple figure makes our progress evident - the yearly number of contracts fulfilled has increased tenfold.
