INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

 

Dates and Location:  February 22 to 26, 2010. Svalyava, the Carpathians region, Ukraine

 

Conference Topics:

·        Development policy of the national system of the intellectual property rights legal protection

·        Modifications and amendments in legal regulation of IPR sphere in Ukraine. Enhancement of Examination Body functioning

·        Legal protection, exercise and enforcement of rights in marks

·        Exercise and enforcement of copyright and related rights in audiovisual area

·        Mediation as the extrajudicial method of disputes resolution in IPR sphere

 

Working Languages:  Ukrainian, English, Russian.

 

Deadline for Registration:  January 25, 2010. Please fill the Registration Form in and send

                                      it by fax (+380 44 494 0613) to the Organizing Committee

 

Deadline for Registration Fee Payment:  January 25, 2010.

                                                           (can be prolonged a little under certain conditions)

 

Papers and Presentations:  should be sent by e-mail to i.bernadska@ip-centr.kiev.ua

                                            not later than January 11, 2010 to be published in the

                                            Proceedings of the Conference. Otherwise the participant is

                                            kindly requested to bring some 100 copies of his/her

                                            presentation to distribute them among other participants

 

Program of the Conference

The Program will be arranged by the end of January and sent to all the speakers

 by e-mail. Draft program is to be found at www.sdip.gov.ua in the earliest possible time

 

Accommodation:

Accommodation is reserved in “Sonyachna Dolyna” hotel for 4 nights as from February 22 to 26, 2010. Full board.

 

Registration Fee of UAH 4500.00

It is considered to be equal to EUR 390.00. It comprises payments for the standard set of services provided to each Conference participant during the period from February 22 to 26, 2010. It cannot be divided into any constituents. If you have not made use of any of those services or did not take it in full, no compensation is provided. UAH 4500.00 Registration Fee covers:

·        Participation in all Conference sessions, the set of informational materials and the Proceedings of the Conference,

·        Accommodation for 4 nights (single room) and full board meals,

·        Reception on the occasion of the Conference and sightseeing tour

Transportation from/to the airport of Uzhgorod (or the nearest railway station) on February 22 and 26 is also included

 

Other Kinds of Registration Fee

Registration Fee of UAH 5400.00, considered to be equal to EUR 450.00 correspond to accommodation in a superior room, other services being the same

 

Accompanying Persons:

Registration Fee for accompanying person is of UAH 2100.00 (double room, two persons), considered to be equal to EUR 180.00 or UAH 3000.00 (superior room, two persons), considered to be equal to EUR 240.00. It covers the same services as indicated above apart from participation in the Conference, the set of informational materials and the Proceedings of the Conference

 

Registration Fee Payment and Financial Details

Due to strict financial regulations currently in force in Ukraine, a Contract is needed to confirm before the bank any payment coming from abroad. In view of this, the Organizing Committee will send the Draft Contract by e-mail to the participant immediately on receiving his/her Registration Form. All the banking details are indicated in the Draft Contract. The participants are kindly requested to fill in the relevant positions of the document and send it back. Then the Organizing Committee prepares the Ukrainian version of the Contract and faxes the signed and sealed Contract (both in English and Ukrainian) to the participant. The participant should sign and seal the Contract too and fax it back to the Organizing Committee. In fact, it is necessary to submit the acting Contract signed and sealed by both parties to the bank. So we send it by e-mail and fax as soon as possible and then arrange for exchange of the paper copies. Only when the Contract is ready, the Registration Fee can be paid, otherwise the bank will return the payment back in a few days. Perhaps this procedure looks a little bit burdensome but it has to be observed. Thank you very much for your kind understanding.
